Valentine's Day postcard
Hedra Prue and C. Roule Design
1999
For this promotional postcard for C. Roule Design Braille jewelry at Hedra Prue, I used Braille as a visual code rather than as a tactile language. While some viewers will know that the Braille dots spell the word "love," other viewers might insert other four-letter words, leading to a sort of "Mad Lib" variety of interpretations.
Echoing this abstract code is the striped pattern, which is a digitally-shredded and blurred image of lovers kissing. Printed in two spot colors: red and gunmetal.
