Nomad postcard
with C. Roule Design
1999
Ironic, iconic and universal - the essential travel accessory for the modern nomad. Intended as an antidote to the sterility of the electronic age, the Nomad postcard encourages a simpler, more expressive form of communication. The postcard's text is concisely universal, with the English word "nomad" translated into Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Hindi. Just about anywhere you go, someone will understand. The enigmatic figure (borrowed from a cultish book on body language) represents the desire to move, to escape, to act; but also reminds us that even as you may change your location, you may not change yourself.
